THE TOMB RAIDER

I. this is a private, mutually-exclusive and low activity roleplay blog for the character lara croft from the tomb raider franchise. i've taken the survival timeline and throughout the years, added in the original / legend timeline inside. to create a lara that is unified into one timeline that expands most games and adventures we experience in the games. you could say i'm canon-divergent, because even though i've taken many canon works, i've had to work and meddle with lara herself and her history to try and make them all fit.

II. in regards to faceclaim, i will be using camilla luddington as my main faceclaim for lara, given she is the main voice and motion capture actress for the latest three games. but i will be using animated icons from the various games when appropriate to do so.

III. my portrayal of lara tries to incorporate every version of her. starting with the survival trilogy, as the origin story of how she became known as the tomb raider. after the events of shadow, she takes on the title and begins her career . . . this is when tomb raider 1 / anniversary shall take place and her other adventures. i think i'm going to put her adventures through legend and underworld first, then proceed with the rest of her original timeline. i just want to make my blog a single version of lara that spans across years of games.

IV. for my replies, i use small text, small icons and semi-format the reply itself. i only use color for the first sentence and the quotation marks and just bold and italic whatever else i want. i struggle to read heavily formatted replies and this play a part in whenever i follow you back or not.

V. this blog is a safe space for both myself and my mutuals. i will not be partaking in any call-outs, unless absolutely necessary and needs to be shared to keep others safe. anon is turned off and will remain that way for the foreseeable future, as i'm deathly afraid of the feature and it gives me so much anxiety. if you have any issues with me — then please do not be afraid to message me and we can talk about it!

VII. i ship lara with chemistry. if our muses click, i am more than happy to explore their dynamic and ship with you! however, my main focus when it comes to shipping, is the relationship i've created with my boyfriend regarding lara croft and nathan drake — to whom i'm exclusive with.

VIII. triggering subjects that will be found and explored on this blog will be: post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, talks of injuries, blood, guns, death, paternal death and maternal death. if you feel uncomfortable with any of these, then please do not feel inclined to follow me. these will all be tagged appropriately, of course.

IX. in terms of duplicates, i have no issue with them. if you want to follow me, i'll be happy to follow you back! the more the merrier is how i see it. though, i'll never follow another lara writer first, just in-case.

X. mains and exclusives are practised on this blog. there is no limit to how many mains i'll accept, but i will only be taking on one portrayal per character when it comes to exclusives.

XI. i will not be interacting with those that use the following people as faceclaims: scarlett johnasson, amber heard, johnny depp, jeremy renner, robert downey jr, benedict cumberbatch, tom holland, elizabeh olsen, or any whitewashed muse, emma watson, chris pratt, armie hammer and ezra miller. i am not interested in seeing those people on my dash.

XII. if you are writing a person from history, then i beg that you do not follow me as i find it highly uncomfortable to see people writing real people. this rule extends to those that write youtubers, reality stars or any current living person.

XIII. please do not steal anything from this blog. that includes my icons, which i've created myself and will know if they've been taken. my edits, gifs, headers, anything of the sort that is obviously created by me. this rule extends to my headcanons. if anything is taken from this blog, then i will kindly approach and ask you disregard anything taken.

DEFAULT. lara croft has took on the title of the tomb raider. she explores the world, to discover what has been lost in time. from objects of myth, to lost and undiscovered locations. many of lost civilisations have been found because of her and objects thought gone, recovered and donated to museums across the world. lara croft is a well known name and her career as the tomb raider, even more so. this verse is set after the survivor timeline and fit anywhere from there.

PRE-YAMATAI. everything before lara's expedition to yamatai, the title of tomb raider not even a thought yet. lara is fresh out of university, travelling the world as a simple archaeologist, looking for her place in the world.

UNRAIDED. lara croft was simply an archaeologist, a wealthy one at that, hired to provide funds to an expedition to panama. there she met nathan drake, and her entire life changed from there. this verse is to fit the tomb raider franchise within the uncharted one. starting with uncharted 1 & 2, then tomb raider 2013, then uncharted 3, rise of the tomb raider and shadow of the tomb raider and finally uncharted 4. lara and nate have a rocky relationship within this verse, but in the end are a happily married couple. a team in all regards. this verse is made in collaboration with @fortuneshunter.
